Inter are in the UEFA Champions League final, thanks to pivotal performances from Denzel Dumfries and Marcus Thuram, writes Dylan Johnson.
Writing for Soccermag, Johnson argues that Dumfries and Thuram played key roles in securing Inter’s victory, with Dumfries dominating both defensively and offensively, scoring twice and assisting three times across the two legs.
Thuram’s work off the ball was crucial, creating space and relief for his teammates. His assist in extra time helped Davide Frattesi seal the win.
Despite Barcelona’s efforts, led by the brilliant Lamine Yamal, Inter’s collective resilience carried them to the final. Whether they face PSG or Arsenal in Munich, Inter will believe they can claim their first UEFA Champions League trophy since Jose Mourinho’s success in 2010.
