A 13-year-old boy’s exceptional culinary skills have left social media users in awe after his mother shared a video of him confidently preparing a mouth-watering meal on TikTok.

The young chef’s impressive technique and independence in the kitchen have garnered widespread praise, with many commending his mother’s parenting and the importance of teaching children essential life skills.

The video showcases the boy’s culinary prowess as he expertly chops cabbage and carrots, fries them to perfection, and then moves on to preparing chicken.

He cleans and cuts the chicken into precise portions, browns it in the pan, and creates a rich, flavourful gravy. Amidst cooking, he demonstrates responsibility by clearing his kitchen and washing dishes. Finally, he cooks soft pap, completing the meal with impressive finesse.

The final dish, neatly presented on plates, looked delectable, and the boy’s confidence in the kitchen shone through.

Social media users flooded the comment section with admiration for his skills, stating that he is well-prepared for residential life and that his mother has taught him invaluable lessons.

Many expressed motivation to teach their own children, both boys and girls, how to cook, while some jokingly remarked that the 13-year-old’s culinary abilities surpass those of their older family members.

The overall consensus is that the young chef’s ability to prepare a hearty, home-style dish at just 13 years old is truly remarkable.

His video serves as a heartwarming reminder of the importance of teaching children essential life skills, like cooking, which will benefit them throughout their lives.
