Discover Paris: 5 must-do activities

The 2024 Olympics and Paralympics games are currently underway in Paris, France. Tourists are travelling to Europe at this time to experience the culture and food in the ‘City of Love’. Whether you are in a relationship or not, there are places you can visit to enjoy yourself.

Conde Nast Traveller adds that Paris is known for its over 100 museums, historic sites, and 20 arrondissements with restaurants, cafes, and boutiques, and is a popular tourist destination.

Here are 5-must-do activities whilst in Paris, according to travel hubs:

1. Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower should be on your bucket list if you are travelling to Paris. According to travel hub Timeout, this tower was built in 1889 and is still standing today. It provides spectacular views of Paris and is viewable from most vintage points. The tower boasts a new glass floor, dramatic champagne bar, brasserie and Michelin-starred restaurant. The hub adds that it has become a destination spot for lovers.

 

2. Disneyland Paris

The above-mentioned hub says that the amusement park in Paris, Disney, is Europe’s premier theme park, and features a variety of exciting activities such as Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean, whether you are old or young you will have fun.

 

3. Luxembourg Gardens

According to Tripadvisor, Luxembourg Gardens, a 55-acre park in Paris, provides a tranquil setting with flower gardens, towering trees, and the stately Luxembourg Palace. It’s ideal for picnics, family gatherings, and pétanque and chess games.

 

4. Musée du Louvre

The Louvre, a universal museum since 1793, houses more than 35,000 works of art, including classics such as the Mona Lisa and Michelangelo’s Slaves. It spans thousands of years and encompasses a broad area from America to Asia.

5. Palais Garnier

According to Conde Nast Traveller, the Opera House’s exterior is ornamented with busts and gilded statues, including l’Harmonie and La Poésie. Inside, the Grand Staircase costs 15 euros and features a luxurious Parisian style.
