On Sunday, 20 September 2026, Bride&Co brought its BrideVibes experience to The Garden Venue in Northriding, welcoming a curated group of brides-to-be under one roof for an intimate, informative brunch morning focused on the realities, excitement and many moving parts of the journey to the altar.

Rather than a traditional bridal expo, BrideVibes was designed as a more considered experience — bringing together trusted suppliers, industry experts and voices from across the wedding and lifestyle space, while giving brides the opportunity to connect, ask questions, discover new brands and enjoy the experience of being celebrated as they prepare for one of life’s biggest milestones.

And with Heritage Month taking place throughout September, the event provided the perfect setting for another important conversation: how today’s South African bride can honour her heritage while expressing her own individual style.

Threads of Heritage takes centre stage

A highlight of the BrideVibes experience was Bride&Co’s Threads of Heritage offering, brought to life through an exclusive trunk show.

The offering celebrates the beauty of South African heritage while recognising that the modern bride does not necessarily want to choose between tradition and contemporary style.

Threads of Heritage explores how cultural elements can be incorporated into modern bridalwear, from fabrics and beadwork to colour, texture and personal details that carry meaning. The result is a more personal approach to bridal fashion — one where a bride can honour her roots while still creating a look that feels unmistakably hers.

The trunk show allowed BrideVibes guests to experience these looks up close, showcasing the versatility of contemporary bridal fashion and the ways in which heritage can become part of a bride’s personal wedding story.

It was particularly fitting during Heritage Month, when conversations around identity, culture and the stories passed down through generations take centre stage.

For some brides, heritage may be expressed through a traditional ceremony or a particular fabric. For others, it may be a subtle detail, a family tradition or an accessory that carries sentimental meaning.

Threads of Heritage celebrates all of these expressions. Brides can explore the full Bride&Co offering and discover more about the brand’s approach to contemporary bridalwear through the Bride&Co website.

An informative brunch for the woman behind the wedding

At the heart of BrideVibes was the belief that planning a wedding should not be about navigating everything alone.

The morning brought together a panel of industry experts who offered practical perspectives on some of the conversations that brides may not always think about when planning their big day.

The panel included a legal advisor, offering insight into the legal considerations that come with marriage, alongside experts from the beauty, wellness and lifestyle industries, including a spa owner, who shared perspectives on self-care and wellness during what can often be an intense period of planning.

These conversations allowed brides to hear directly from people working in the industry and to take away practical knowledge that extends beyond choosing a venue, dress or photographer.

That was the essence of BrideVibes: creating a space where brides could ask questions, discover trusted voices and make informed decisions while enjoying the experience of being a bride.

A morning of discovery, connection and celebration

The brunch itself brought a relaxed social element to the morning, allowing guests to connect while enjoying food, wine and curated brand experiences.

Throughout the event, brides could explore activations from a selection of brands and trusted suppliers, each contributing to a different part of the bridal journey.

Château Gâteaux added a sweet element to the morning, while GD Life Wines brought the wine experience to the table.

Beauty and wellbeing were represented by Incognito Spa and Events, while Herbalife and Boss Nutrition brought health and nutrition into the conversation — an important part of looking and feeling your best during a busy season of life.

Narciso Rodriguez introduced guests to the world of fragrance, highlighting the role that scent can play in creating memories around significant occasions.

On the practical side, Mooeketsi Attorneys brought legal expertise to the experience, while Sure Dynamic Travel offered brides inspiration for the journeys and experiences that come after the wedding day.

Together, the collaborations helped create an experience that reflected the many different aspects of modern bridal life.

The bride is more than the wedding

BrideVibes comes at an important time for Bride&Co, as the brand celebrates 20 years of being part of South African weddings, celebrations and milestone moments.

The evolution of the brand is reflected in initiatives such as Threads of Heritage, as well as experiences like BrideVibes, which place the woman — rather than simply the wedding — at the centre of the conversation.

Because while the dress, flowers, venue and photographs are all important, there is a woman at the centre of every wedding, making decisions, navigating expectations, honouring family traditions and creating a celebration that represents her and her partner.

BrideVibes creates a space for that woman to pause, connect with other brides and hear from people who can help her navigate the journey ahead.

And as Heritage Month reminds us, our stories are shaped by where we come from.

Threads of Heritage is about carrying those stories forward. BrideVibes is about bringing the women who carry them together.
