Not to be biased, our country has the most charming and beautiful vacation spots, offering many exciting activities, there’s no doubt about that. However, some places are highly overlooked.

So, if you find yourself in one of the below provinces or you are finally planning to take that vacation out of your notepad then this is for you.

Madikwe, Northwest

The Madikwe Game Reserve prides itself on being a “hidden gem that is regarded as one of the best conservation areas in Africa and offers the Big 5 in a 680 square km park!”

Riemvasmaak, Northern Cape

Riemvasmaak Hot Springs is definitely for the summer season lovers and is indeed the vacation spot that you would want cross off that bucket list.

 

Schoemanskloof Valley, Mpumalanga

Mbizane Escarpment Retreat is truly magnificent featuring game-changing luxury elevated tents. According to their website, “Mbizane is a birder’s dream,” but if birding is not your scene, the retreat is definitely accommodating, offering its guests activities in abundance such as hiking, horse riding, picnics, swimming, and mountain biking just to name a few.

Knysna, Western Cape

If you are looking for an adventure by the sea, then Goukamma Nature Reserve which is situated in Knysna should definitely be on top of your list of coastal options.
