Sip your way to better health with chai

You must have heard of chai, the spicy tea that wraps you in warmth and comfort, with this type of tea,  you can drink your way to improved health.

Its unique flavour combination, sweet, spicy, and calming all at once, has a certain kind of charm.

Below, are health experts that advise individuals who have not tried it, to give it a go for better health results:

It is mentioned by the health-focused publication Healthline that black tea, ginger, and additional spices are combined to make chai tea. Cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, black pepper, and cloves are the most commonly used spices, though peppercorns, coriander seeds, and star anise are other popular choices.

“Unlike regular tea, which is brewed with water, chai tea is traditionally brewed using both warm water and warm milk. It also tends to be sweetened to varying degrees,” according to the health publication.

The above health hub claims that chai might help with blood sugar regulation. This is due to the fact that it contains cinnamon and ginger, both of which may help lower blood sugar.

Hearty Sip claims, “One of the main ingredients in chai tea is black tea, which contains flavonoids. These natural compounds have been shown to help prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries, reducing the risk of heart disease.”

Chai is also a natural way to help with stomach issues and digestion. There are several advantages for digestive health when black tea and ginger, two essential components of chai tea, are combined, the above website further states.
