On her Instagram Story, the DJ shared that she felt “deeply sad” for the woman and asked the public not to make matters worse.

Thuli informed fans, “I’m not mad at all. I actually found it funny, but a lot of people forwarded the post to me, so I saw an opportunity for us to reflect instead. It’s okay.”

The picture the woman used was posted on Thuli’s Instagram account on 20 January 2025. She wore a Louis Vuitton blazer, a crisp white shirt, and a black tie while holding a small Chanel bag.

In another Instagram Story, the Generations: The Legacy actress wrote:

“Social media is not good for our mental health. The pressure gets to some people, but eventually, if you’re willing, you learn it’s not worth it all.

“Let her have it. She’ll do better when it’s right. Just another example to reflect on what matters.”

Local social media users headed to X to share their thoughts, with many describing Thuli’s words as mature. Others emphasised how real social media validation and insecurities are.

A portion of @@baby_gheli’s comment read, “I like how she addressed it… I hope this girl seeks help or takes an online break. I hope her friends sit her down and gently talk to her.”

“We live in an AI world, and now people will get over it and get used to it. Who really cares? Everyone’s fake anyway these days. Thuli handled it maturely,” wrote @ShadowDeity999.

@Monareng73 shared, “Thuli is such a sweetheart. The work needs more kind people.”
