Thulani Mtsweni joins ‘Uzalo’ cast as charismatic newcomer Pondo

Popular South African actor Thulani Mtsweni has officially joined the cast of the hit SABC1 soapie Uzalo, stepping into the role of a new character named Pondo, a move that has already generated excitement among viewers.

Thulani, known for his dynamic performances on local television, brings a fresh energy to the long-running drama series, which continues to dominate South African TV ratings with its gripping storylines set in KwaMashu.

In his new role, Thulani’s character Pondo is expected to shake up the existing dynamics in the township, introducing fresh conflict, humour, and unexpected twists. Producers of the show have hinted that the character will play a significant part in upcoming story arcs, adding tension and intrigue to the already dramatic storyline.
