Tensions between veteran actor Sello Maake ka Ncube and soon-to-be ex-wife Pearl Mbewe continue to rise since the announcement of their divorce. In the latest development, it appears Pearl is bringing all the fire as she turns the Special Investigating Unit’s (SIU) attention to the actor’s finances.

Sello and Pearl’s interesting and borderline toxic relationship dynamic has been on full display for the whole country to see, analyse and criticise accordingly. Mzansi has been taken along this tumultuous ride which has had followers clenching their pearls with each update that surfaces.

Matters appear to be far from over between Sello and his estranged wife, as it has been revealed that Pearl has requested that the infamous SIU investigate her soon-to-be ex-husband’s finances, following the reported sale of one of the actor’s most luxurious cars that formed part of an estate meant to be divided between the couple.

It appears that Sello wishes to see Pearl leave their marriage with absolutely nothing as City Press reports that the actor blatantly told his estranged wife that she would not be getting a single dime from the R1,25 million that they were set to receive from the actor’s ex-girlfriend. He then reportedly went on to demand Pearl to resign from her role in their companies Tap Roots Projects and Sello Maake kaNcube Holdings, and instructed that failure to do so would result in her removal from the companies.

According to reports by entertainment publication MDN News, Pearl has written to the SIU to launch an investigation into some funds that Sello allegedly received from the National Lotteries Commission, a deal which Pearl reportedly negotiated on behalf of her estranged husband.
