South African actress Seipati Mahamu opened up about her experience playing the polarising character of Lethabo on Netflix and e.tv’s recent show The Four of Us. The star shared her views on the love triangle between her character, Bobbi, played by Sdumo Mtshali, and Ndumi, played by Hope Mbele.
Friday’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, with an exciting moment for viewers: Banzi and Lethabo finally get together after Lethabo ruined Bobbi and Ndumi’s wedding.

The difference between Lethabo and Seipati
According to Sowetan, Seipati said her character couldn’t be any more different from her. She added that Lethabo is focused on a man, which isn’t like her in real life, which saw her judging the character. However, as a professional, one of the biggest lessons she has learned is not to judge the characters she is playing.
There are a few similarities that the actress and the character share, which is their love for the gym. However, Seipati sees herself having very different priorities from Lethabo. While Lethabo prioritises a man, she prioritises her dreams.

The love triangle
Seipati doesn’t appreciate the position that Lethabo has found herself in. The actress can acknowledge the effort that Lethabo has put into the relationship between her and Bobbi. However, no one asked her to build him. She describes Lethabo’s expectation to stay in Bobbi’s life as entitlement.
Working with Sdumo Mtshali
Seipati shared that working with Sdumo has been imperative to her growth, adding that there have been times when she thought she found the character, Sdumo comes in and helps push the character further.
