Tamia Mpisane’s name change fuels rumours of split with Andile

Tamia and Andile Mpisane may have broken up.

Influencer Tamia Mpisane left fans on social media wondering about her relationship status with media personality Andile Mpisane after she opted to change her Instagram handle to her maiden surname.

As seen on her social media account, Tamia now goes by ‘Tamia Louw,’ and her app handle is @tamialouw_. Her last post on 15 May 2026 was dedicated to one of her daughters, whom she shares with Andile.

According to The Popcorn Room blog, Tamia allegedly removed pictures of Andile from her profile.

While neither Tamia nor Andile addressed the rumours at the time of publication, many South African social media users flocked to X to share their thoughts and theories. Many speculated that the two parted ways due to rumoured financial difficulties in the Mpisane/Mkhize household.

@DuduNgubane3 wondered in the comment section, “Does it have anything to do with money or lack thereof?”

@ItsMomoMashhhadded under the post, “This is definitely not breaking news. We predicted this in 2021.”

@GucciX10111 shared their opinion about the rumours, writing, “If this is true, she’s absolutely going to cook him in divorce court. Plus, they got kids.”

“Lads, let’s be honest with ourselves, true love is no more, it’s fallen out the window. Life is about money, and once that is gone, just know the marriage is dissolved,” commented @Tsagatido.

“The way people were anticipating the separation of Andile Mpisane and Tamia Mpisane is really disturbing and sad. It shows how little our generation values the institution of marriage. I wish them, together with their kids, healing and wellness; divorce is not an easy thing,” wrote @destiny_ndlovu.
