Taking to his Instagram Story on 27 June 2026, Siya reposted Miss South Africa’s Instagram post of Simoné Nonhlanhla Tshituka, a Senior Actuarial Associate from Gauteng. Her surname may ring a bell, as she is married to Congolese-born rugby player Emmanuel Tshituka. The athlete plays for the Sharks in the United Rugby Championship (URC) and is the younger brother of rugby star Vincent Tshituka.

Since 2023, the Miss South Africa pageant officially allows married women and mothers to enter and compete, noting that there are no restrictions on both marital and parental statuses.

More about Simoné Nonhlanhla Tshituka

According to the Miss South African Organisation, the 26-year-old contestant has a passion for education, problem-solving, and expanding access to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) opportunities for the youth. Her advocacy focuses on improving foundational mathematics education in underserved communities.

“Inspired by her own academic journey and the underrepresentation of Black women in actuarial science, she aims to build mathematical confidence, critical thinking and problem-solving skills while increasing access to educational resources, mentorship and STEM career pathways,” notes the organisation run by former Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala.

“Through her advocacy, she hopes to help create a future where more young South Africans, particularly young women, can confidently pursue opportunities in mathematics, science and technology.”
