Kid Influencer award winner Kairo Forbes, daughter of the DJ Zinhle and the late Kiernan “AKA” Forbes got a surprise visit, when the 94.7 Drive with Thando Thabethe radio team went to broadcast at her home, bringing in a chef to teach her mother how to cook.

This beautiful surprise comes after Kairo busted her mom for her inability to cook, adding that she can only make eggs.

As the team started broadcasting, Kairo was asked if she had said that her mother couldn’t cook and she replied with a yes.

When asked what they ordinarily eat for dinner, Kairo responded:

“Zama, my nanny cooks for us.”

Speaking of her mom’s cooking Kairo shared:

“She can make breakfast, kind of. She can, but she can’t make proper dinner.”

The radio show host Thando Thabethe asked if the Era watch and accessory business owner can make proper breakfast with eggs, bacon and mushrooms to which Kairo responded:

“I don’t know, I just know eggs and toast.” The young entrepreneur who owns the Era watch kids collection also noted that her mom’s eggs and toast is good.

Coming to DJ Zinhle’s corner, Thando noted that the soon to celebrate 20 years in the deejaying industry and mother of two is a busy woman who often comes home tired from performing at gigs.

Acknowledging Zinhle’s effort in trying to make what she can, Thando asked Kairo what she would like her mother to learn how to cook, and she replied saying a prawn pasta, which is her favourite meal.

When Zama is not home to cook for them, Kairo shared that her mother orders take-outs for them as she can’t cook.

Acknowledging that she doesn’t mind take-outs Kairo also noted:

“Sometimes I want her to cook.”
