Rocking the Daisies shares reason for cancelling 2026 event

Fans of Rocking the Daisies have been met with disappointing news after organisers announced that the beloved music and lifestyle festival will not take place in 2026.

The cancellation marks a pause for one of South Africa’s most recognisable annual events, leaving many attendees, artists, and local businesses reflecting on its impact.

Rocking the Daisies cancelled

The festival cited “unforeseen circumstances” that have made it “impossible” for them to proceed this year.

Regarding purchased tickets, they advised, “All ticket refunds will be processed automatically, with funds expected to reflect in patrons’ accounts within one to three business days. No action is required from ticket holders.”

Although the event is cancelled, festivalgoers can look forward to an alternative one-day show via the IN THE CITY platform across Johannesburg and Cape Town.
