Popi Sibiya unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer SA’

Television audiences were left surprised when popular travel content creator and media personality Popi Sibiya was revealed as the latest celebrity to be unmasked on The Masked Singer South Africa. 

Throughout the competition, Popi impressed both the judges and viewers with energetic performances while successfully keeping her identity a secret. Her clues sparked plenty of speculation, with many guessing she was a singer or actress before the dramatic reveal.

Detectives were left guessing

Throughout the episode, detectives J’Something, Somizi, Sithelo Shozi and guest panellist Jason Goliath, who filled in for Skhumba, failed to identify the person behind the Pap & Wors costume.

Clues revealed that Pap & Wors was one of four children and that her given name means “completeness.” She also hinted at having followed a different career path before finding her true purpose. 

The judges praised her confidence, stage presence, and willingness to embrace the competition. Although her journey on the show came to an end, Popi’s memorable performances left a lasting impression on audiences. 

Speaking after removing her mask, Popi said participating in the show was an exciting challenge that allowed her to step outside her comfort zone. She thanked fans for their support and said the experience allowed her to showcase a different side of her personality.
