Debates over General Access (GA) and pre-sale tickets
Pre-sale tickets went live last Wednesday, 28 October 2026, mainly for fans who registered on the singer’s official website and the Milk + Cookies Festival website for early access.
Prices ranged from R1,250 to R2,250 for general admission, leaving prospective attendees questioning whether the cost was affordable.
General ticket sales were made available shortly after on Friday, 30 October 2026, with prices ranging from R1,250 to R3 000, excluding the R200 service fee. This sent the internet into an uproar.
Many took into account the state of the economy, including transport and travel prices, accommodation, food and drinks, which are excluded costs that still add to the cost of attending.

Mzansi questions the price
Popular TikTok creators shared their disapproval of the high ticket prices, with content creator Ash Pregueiro expressing her shock and accepting she will not be going.
“So tickets for Olivia Dean are sitting at what, 3k? 3k each? Have a great time, guys,” she shared.
Another content creator called ‘Uhhh. Litchi’ felt that the price was not worth the amount of time the artist will spend on stage, adding:
“I’d rather take that 3k and go to Europe and watch her have a one-woman show than watch her perform for 20 minutes here.”
Another TikTok user, Hennythings, criticised that high a price for general access as diabolical.
“If I had to pay that 3k for that ticket for GA where it’s a barricaded area, I guess I was going to have that silver lining on Apple Music,” she said.
