Nota believes Cassper’s fanbase was built by people hating on AKA

Known for giving his two cents on any given matter, Nhlamulo ‘Nota’ Baloyi shared how he thinks rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest’s fanbase was built, what he advised the rapper and how touring with Nasty C “won’t save him.”

Cassper and AKA’s beef made headlines over the years. The two were even involved in an alleged altercation in 2015 after Cassper tweeted that AKA slapped him in a club. However, last year, in an interview with The Sobering Podcast, the late rapper owned up to his past mistakes.

Taking to Twitter, the music executive – who has been spending some time in New York – said the following:

“Cassper Nyovest’s fanbase was built on the premise of hating on AKA… Every Tsibipian [Cassper fan] is just an AKA hater & you can’t hate on the dead. When I advised him to end the beef by doing a joint project he chose to get bodied by a singing n***a. Now touring with Nasty C won’t save him!”

Tweeps were split about what Nota had to say.

One wrote, “No… AKA fanbase was built around hating on Cassper… AKA was nobody before Cassper. Cassper made AKA.”

“I listen both AKA and Cassper Nyovest never hated any between the two it’s just music for me,” wrote another tweep.

While another tweeted, “I’m a Cass fan but never hated AKA, actually started listening to him after composure.”

Nota replied to the tweet, saying, “That’s because you hated until you had to be honest with yourself & admit defeat. You just proved my point. Thank you for your half-ass honesty!”
