Nota Baloyi’s ‘white people are Neanderthals’ stance ruffles Elon Musk’s feathers

Doing what he does best, controversial figure Nota Baloyi has ruffled some feathers after he hopped on The Hustlers Corner Podcast with DJ Sbu to share his unique stance on why black South Africans struggle with co-existing with white South Africans.

Although he officially identifies as a music executive in the industry, Nota Baloyi has developed a niche for stirring the pot with his interesting opinions. He has garnered a reputation as one of mzansi’s evil masterminds as he has consistently disregarded backlash or consequences in order to get his point across. He has now become a voice of chaos and entertainment on social media and has taken on the role of playing devil’s advocate and keeping conversations going in a unique and usually unfavourable way to most.

In his latest venture, Nota visited DJ SBu’s podcast where they delved into an assortment of topics including music, Kendrick Lamar’s half-time SuperBowl performance, Kanye West and of course, politics. What would’ve been a typical Nota interview quickly turned into a viral moment after a clip where Nota delves into his beliefs regarding the genetic composition of white people in South Africa and how that affects their interactions with the natives caught Elon Musk’s attention.

In the clip, Nota expresses that he believes that white people are inferior to black people, and he cites research done by eugenicists such as Clive Darby Lewis as evidence of his claims. According to Nota, white South Africans are in their last generation before they become extinct, and are therefore the weakest demographic of white people have ever seen.

Interestingly, Nota credits the horrific and violent acts carried by the Apartheid government to the fact that those people were in fact not homo-sapiens and therefore could not exercise humanity or ‘ubuntu’ like the rest of us. He goes as far as comparing teaching humanity to white people as the same concept as trying to teach it to animals.

This clip, along with many others of the same interview has been making rounds on social media as users try to digest and make sense of Nota’s words. Among these users is X(formerly Twitter) boss Elon Musk, who quoted the post with the caption ‘Hmmm’, leaving internet users to believe that he is just as speechless as they are that Nota would be brave enough to say something like this on a platform that magnitude.

The clip has proven to split the masses and has revealed a frightening reality regarding racial dynamics in South Africa. On one end, users have applauded Nota for his brutal but much-needed commentary. According to these users, the media personality has raised a valid point

On the other hand, others have condemned Nota’s stance labelling him as a dangerous racist and have gone as far as reporting him to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for his words.
