In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nomsa expressed frustration over what she described as a series of unexplained setbacks, including a missing docket, the alleged withdrawal of a second docket and a lack of progress in the matter.

Addressing SAPS directly, she accused the institution of failing to address her concerns and questioned whether corruption could be behind the way her case has been handled.

“You can be bought. Looks like you have been bought,” she wrote in her post.

Nomsa Mazwai details alleged problems with the case

According to Nomsa, the first docket relating to her case allegedly went missing at the police station. She further claimed that a second docket was later withdrawn under circumstances she described as suspicious, alleging that a false SMS had been sent in connection with the matter.

Nomsa said approximately two and a half months had passed without meaningful communication or progress.

The singer also claimed that she had reported the alleged loss of the docket and unexplained delays to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID).

According to her account, an investigation was opened following her report, but she expressed disappointment over what she described as a lack of subsequent action.

Her allegations have not been independently verified, and the circumstances surrounding the case remain unclear based on her public statement.

‘What is a single mother to do?’

Nomsa said she had turned to social media to document her experience, explaining that she wanted to create a public record of her complaints.

“That’s why we come to Twitter, to leave paper trails before we are shut up for good,” she wrote.

She further alleged that taking her concerns to social media had resulted in her being treated worse, raising questions about what options remain available to people who feel let down by the institutions meant to assist them.

The singer also tagged President Cyril Ramaphosa in her post, questioning what action was being taken while alleging that institutional failures and corruption were affecting people’s lives.

Nomsa Mazwai raises concerns about social media accounts

In the same post, Nomsa claimed that all her social media accounts had been shadow-banned, adding to her frustration over the situation.

She also alleged that Black Coffee had the financial means to influence people and institutions, writing: “It looks like Black Coffee can afford to buy everyone, even you.”

These statements represent Nomsa’s allegations and have not been established as fact. No response from Black Coffee, SAPS, IPID or the Presidency was included in the statement provided.

Nomsa’s post has brought renewed attention to her concerns about the handling of her case and the accountability of the institutions she says she approached for assistance.
