South African media personality and singer Nandi Madida has joined the nation in mourning following the tragic deaths of Bafana Bafana star Jayden Adams and promising rugby player Luqobo ‘Bibo’ Makwedini.

“What a promising young talent. I never had the privilege of knowing him personally, but our family absolutely loved his chants. Rest in peace, young man. What a powerful legacy you’ve left at such a young age.

“Thank you for bringing so much joy to this country. My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with Luqobo ‘Bibo’ Makwedini’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” she penned.

Her touching words resonated with many South Africans, who praised Luqobo for the joy and energy he brought to rugby and to fans around the country.
