Following the tragic death of Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns star Jayden Adams, the mother of his one-year-old son, Jody Solomons, posted a tribute to her ex. Adams has an older daughter, Allaia, with his long-time partner, Aqueelah Adendorf.

According to South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson FC Van Wyk, the Cape Town Central police registered an inquest for investigation following the discovery of a 25-year-old male on Saturday, July 2026, at 11.06am. The body was found at a residence in Military Road, Schotschekloof, near Cape Town’s iconic Bo-Kaap.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Solomons took to her Instagram account a day later to post a series of images and videos of their son, Jude.

Jayden Adams’ son’s mother speaks out

Dedicating the post to Adams, she wrote:

“We didn’t always see eye to eye, and life took us down different paths, but none of that changes the fact that you were Jude’s father. That is something no one can ever take away.”

Solomons shared that it broke her heart that her son and his sister would grow up without their father and promised to make sure the siblings had a special bond. Noting that she would keep Adams’ memory alive through their son and ensure he knows who his father was, she added:

“I never imagined we would have to say goodbye like this. No matter what happened between us, I never wished this for you. I wish things had been different. I wish you had more time.

“Thank you for giving me the greatest gift I could ever receive, our son. Through him, a part of you will always live on.”
