Minnie Dlamini to make the big announcement

The announcement will be streamed live on the official Miss South Africa YouTube channel from 2pm, giving pageant fans the chance to discover which contestants have secured a place in the next stage of the competition.

The Miss South Africa Organisation confirmed the broadcast details on its social media platforms. It also shared that the award-winning presenter, actress, executive producer and businesswoman would serve as the host.

From Top 24 to Top 19

The announcement follows the selection of the Miss South Africa 2026 Top 24 finalists in June.

According to the official Miss South Africa Organisation, the finalists were selected following a rigorous evaluation process, with the competition emphasising leadership potential, communication skills, personal achievements, community involvement and each contestant’s vision for creating meaningful impact.

The organisation has positioned the 2026 competition as part of its ‘New Era,’ with the platform placing greater emphasis on leadership, purpose and social impact alongside the traditional elements of pageantry.

The move from 24 semi-finalists to 19 finalists marks another significant stage on the road to the Miss South Africa 2026 crown. The official Miss South Africa social media announcement urged viewers to tune in to the organisation’s YouTube page to find out who advances to the next round.

With Minnie Dlamini leading the announcement, attention will be firmly on the 19 women who emerge from today’s reveal.
