Kabza De Small and Tyler ICU become most nominated amapiano artists for Metro FM awards

As the Metro FM awards 2024 approaches, they announced the nominees last night.

The Metro FM Awards are going to take place at Mbombela Stadium, in Mpumalanga. They will be a two-day event, starting from the 27th of April 2024 to the 28th of April.

The awards will be hosted by multi-award-winning radio broadcaster Khutso Theledi alongside her colleague and award-winning radio deejay, DJ Sabby.

A lot of artists have been showered with congratulatory messages since the announcement of the nominations.

We cannot run away from the fact that we have grown to be fond of amapiano songs, which means we have our preferences when it comes to the genre, for some people this preference includes Kabza De Small and Tyler ICU.

The two artists who have worked hard since last year were both nominated five times for awards making them the most nominated amapiano artists.

Kabza De Small (born as Kabelo Motha) was nominated for: Best Produced Album, Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, Best Amapiano song and Male Artist of the Year.

Austin Kulani Baloyi professionally known as Tyler ICU was nominated for: Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, Best Viral Challenge, Best Amapiano song and Male Artist of the Year.

These nominations had their fans and supporters excited as they wrote congratulatory messages:

“Congratulations [red heart emoji].”

Another one said: “My Niggas [fire emoji].”
