Jub Jub quits uyajola 9/9?

Just as controversial TV personality Molemo Maarohanye, who is more famously known as Jub Jub was breathing a sigh of relief following the National Prosecuting Authority’s(NPA) withdrawal of the attempted murder, rape and charges that were laid against him, the media personality has now reportedly called it quits as host of Moja Love’s Uyajola 9/9.

According to Sunday World, the ‘Ndikhokhele’ hit-maker tended his resignation to Moja Love’s chief executive officer, Aubrey Tau, citing a plethora of reasons for his resignation, which include emotional and verbal abuse.

“The verbal and emotional abuse in the work environment from the CEO himself. Continuous threats about losing my job. Breach of contract. Unstable working environment (team changing, plans changing, last-minute changes which have affected my creativity over the years),” reads the letter seen by the above-mentioned publication.

In the letter, Jub Jub also addresses being called a rapist by the channel, revealing the emotional and psychological toll the incident had on him, particularly because the accusations were baseless.

“With all of this, I have concluded that it is in my best interest to step down from my role effective immediately,” the musician said.

Sunday World spoke to Aubrey Tau and reported that the CEO accepted Jub Jub’s resignation with pleasure, referring to him as “ungrateful, dishonest and super arrogant.”

“Your attitude and lack of respect towards the crew and participants diluted the show and was regrettable. Our number one show is now X Repo because you have a presenter who understands his boundaries and respects his craft and is only paid per show,” Tau said.

It seems both parties are unrelenting in their stance, which is unfortunate for fans of the show as the channel must now find a new host who will be able to take over without dropping the ball, which will not be an easy task.
