Joburg Theatre pays tribute to late Mpho Sebeng

Friends and loved ones of the late actor, Mpho Sebeng will gather at Joburg Theatre to pay tribute in his memorial service.

The young thespian and presenter known for the roles he played in multiple TV series such as Soul Buddyz, Ring of Lies and on Netflix films; Miseducation and Savage Beauty, died in a tragic car accident in Potchefstroom.

His family confirmed his death in a statement:

“Whilst the family appreciates the immense outpouring of love and condolences, the family requests the space to process the news.

“Details of his home going celebrations will be communicated in due course and we request that you continue to hold the Sebeng family in prayer,” read a statement issued by the family spokesperson, Oupa Morake.

Actors spaces shared on socials the details of the public memorial service for the actor: “Legends leave a mark, their contributions stays on. Join us tomorrow (Thursday) as we pay tribute to young legend Mpho Sebeng at the Joburg Theatre.”

The news of his passing sent ripple waves of emotions across the South African entertainment industry. To honour his loss, several local TV shows added his name to their slates of the day.
