‘I lost a lot from this’ – Bravo B after Big Brother disqualification

by Sergio Miller

Big Brother Mzansi star Lindokuhle Nsele popularly known as Bravo B has admitted that he was wrong for his inappropriate comments which got him booted off from the 24/7 reality show.

Earlier this year the 26-year-old found himself facing an early exit after being disqualified. This came after he and fellow housemate Tshepo Tau also known as Makhekhe engaged in a controversial discussion in which Bravo mentioned that he wanted to engage in sexual intercourse with a housemate while she was under the influence.

However, with South Africans already faced with high levels of crime which includes Gender Based Violence (GBV), rape and murder, the show condemned his words resulting into his removal from the show.

In a media release of their own they said: “We do not condone acts that threaten the safety of the housemates on the show and take gender-based violence seriously.”

Recently, Bravo made his appearance in an interview on a well-known podcast called Engineer Your Life where he was able to tell his side of the story.

In conversation with the host, he says that every time he watches the video, he finds it difficult to understand what he was thinking by making those comments.

“It’s a bad video. I think it is something I have to live with. That was a disgrace,” he added.

In an interview with news publication The Sowetan he further added: “Makhekhe and I love creating jokes, but I guess we both went too far.”

“All I wanted to do was to stir up conversation with viewers, but not to rape anyone… we wouldn’t have done that.”

Meanwhile, he added that he will always be ashamed and sorry and wishes that he was educated about GBV in advance.

“But I’m not going to spend my life explaining to everyone. It’s a mistake and I learnt it. I lost a lot from this. I lost a job.”
