South African singer Vusi Nova has received an outpouring of support from fans after announcing the postponement of his Here To Stay EP launch event due to safety concerns linked to illegal immigration tensions.
In a statement, the award-winning artist confirmed that while the launch event has been delayed, the Here To Stay EP was still released as planned. The launch celebration has been rescheduled for 24 July 2026, with all previously purchased tickets remaining valid. The decision was made to prioritise the safety of fans, performers, and everyone involved in the event.
“The well-being of our fans, performers, and local community is our absolute highest priority. While we’re disappointed to delay the celebration, we believe this is the responsible course of action,” read the statement.

“We absolutely understand, Superstar; we appreciate your consideration. We will be there nge 24th, nakanjani [no matter what],” commented one internet user.

Music release stays on track
Although the live celebration has been moved, fans can still enjoy the Here To Stay EP on streaming platforms. The postponement affects only the launch event and not the music release itself.
The decision reflects a growing trend among organisers who are placing public safety first when large gatherings may be affected by external events. For many fans, the delay is a small price to pay, with excitement now shifting to the rescheduled launch later this month.
Vusi Nova’s supporters have made it clear that they are willing to wait, proving that the anticipation surrounding Here To Stay remains as strong as ever.
