South African musician and producer DJ Tira recently celebrated his 47th birthday and did so by announcing that he’s releasing a new album.
DJ Tira’s new album is called Malume Way and is a special release to celebrate his life in a big way.
The album showcases his successful journey in the music industry, where he has made a big impact in the gqom music scene, assisting other music artists through his label, Afrotainment, The Citizen said.
He has collaborated with various producers from across the country, demonstrating his versatile ability to create gqom music. The new album is a 15-track piece that features some of South Africa’s biggest artists in the industry.
Tira has curated a very successful career for himself after he first started DJing in 1996. He won the Smirnoff DJ competition in 2000 and collaborated on his first album in 2001, alongside DJ Khabzela. In 2007, he started Afrotainment and since then, has released multiple albums which has led to great success.
