DJ and record producer Themba Sekowe, popularly known as DJ Maphorisa did not hold back when it came to showing receipts after musician Sir Trill claimed that an alleged ‘Grootman’ was behind him not releasing music and not being paid.

Sir Trill, whose real name is Mzwakhe Zwane, recently appeared on rapper L-Tido’s podcast where he spoke candidly about his music industry struggles after the interview made rounds on social media, internet users could not stop thinking about who the alleged ‘Grootman’ Sir Trill was causing some to allude that it could have been none other than DJ Maphorisa.

In response to L-Tido’s interview with Sir Trill, DJ Maphorisa took to X (previously known as Twitter) to share receipts of payments he made to Sir Trill. The DJ also added that the musician self-sabotaged himself by not attending the gigs he was supposed to.
