Cassper shares his future in hip hop after embracing his faith

11 years into the rap game, born-again music mogul Cassper Nyovest responded to a fan asking if he would continue the genre of music that shot him to fame after committing his life to God.

Cassper, whose real name is Refiloe Phoolo, has shown that since he has been spiritually saved, he is steadfast in his faith.

Replying to the question presented to him regarding his future in hip hop – and not responding with an outright yes or no – Cassper wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Yeah, definitely! My pastor gave me a dope quote that his pastor shared with him when he got saved. He said, ‘You’re not a pastor, you’re a rockstar who loves Jesus.’ Lol, so yeah, I’m not a pastor, yet! Maybe someday, God’s will always prevails. For now, I’m a rapper who loves JESUS!!!”

Following his response, another fan shared that they were expecting a gospel album from the star who should feature local gospel giants Dr Rebecca Malope and BONA‘s February cover star Ntokozo Mbambo.

Cassper responded, “It’s possible man. Trust me, I’m very excited to see what God has in store for me on this new, beautiful journey where I walk with Him and learn about His love, His plans, His heart and His will.”

He added, “I know one thing, though, IT’S GONNA BE BETTER THAN ANYONE CAN IMAGINE!!! HALLELUJAH!!!”
