South African Hip Hop rapper Kiernan AKA Forbes, recently opened up about his relationship with Nadia Nakai.
Sitting down for an interview, with the team from the Sobering Podcast, the rapper opened up about everything that happened in his life over the past two years.
‘A lot has happened in the last two years personally, on a personal level, on a life level. A lot of stuff has happened to us. A lot of stuff has happened to us in the last two-three years, for all of us, COVID-19. A whole lot of just testing times, trying times, for everybody – but especially for me.’
The rapper also got candid about his relationship with his late fiancé, Anele Tembe who tragically passed last year after taking her own life.
‘She had such a great spirit and made me feel re-energised you know, and I went all the way to proposing, paying lobola, I did it all man,’ he said.
He also addressed the infamous video that made rounds on social media of him breaking the door amidst an argument with Anele. ‘I didn’t abuse Anele, you know, I might have been emotionally abusive at times or destructive. ‘
He continued to say, ‘Our relationship was so explosive, could be so great, super toxic, I mean have you guys been in a toxic relationship before – but sometimes you do things that you’re not proud of.’
Speaking on his new love, AKA shared how his new girlfriend, 40 Bars hitmaker, Nadia Nakai has been very emotionally supportive.’ I’ve got an amazing woman in my life who picked me up, rebuilt me, re-energised me – and that’s how God works.’
