There seems to have been a breath of fresh air following the Miss SA and Miss Supranational separation, as former Miss SA winner Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala has recently been announced as the new national director of the Miss Supranational South Africa.
The announcement was made just days after the Miss SA organisation announced its decision not to renew its license with the prestigious beauty pageant.
In a statement shared by Bokang, she highlighted that the opportunity was a dream come true, emphasising the similarities between her and the organisation’s mutual passion for having an impact on the world.
“My life’s work has been rooted in creating platforms that inspire, uplift, and unlock the full potential of the South African girl child.
“Joining the Miss Supranational family is a full-circle moment for me. The Miss Supranational organisation has built a strong and inspiring track record in South Africa, producing women who represent not just beauty and grace, but purpose, strength and vision,” she said.

As the National Director, her vision now is to not just shine a light on the international stage, but also to support women who are passionate about making a difference here at home.
She adds that the new venture is more than just a professional milestone, but a continuation of her commitment to service.
“I look forward to what lies ahead and walking this journey with all of you,” she concluded.
