Missy Elliott is set to make history by being the first female hip-hop artist to receive an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music. The star will be honoured for her achievements, influence in music, and enduring global impact. The college announced the exciting news on social media.

Missy will receive the degree on 11 May from Berklee College of Music at Boston University.
