Hot topic: Why can’t a woman have two husbands?

by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Generations: The Legacy has the country talking following last night’s episode.  Soapie favourite, Karabo Moroka (Connie Ferguson) who is married to Tau Mogale (Rapulana Seiphemo) announced last night that she wants to take a second husband. She has been having an affair with Zola Radebe (Mutodi Neshehe) and instead of continuing to sneak around, she wants to make it official.

This has naturally sparked a lot of debate on social media, with many expressing shock at the idea. However if men can have multiple wives, the question is then why can’t women? Shouldn’t polygamy be a two way door?

Here are a few opinions that’ve been expressed on Twitter. What are your thoughts?
