Drake makes Billboard Music Awards history

Drake has made Billboard Music Awards history by becoming the artist with the most Billboard Awards of all time. This comes after the star won 12 of the 17 awards he was nominated for at the 2019 edition of the awards – bringing him to an all-time high of 27 Billboard awards. His wins include Top Artist of the Year, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Artist and Top Male Artist among others.

During one his speeches, Drake dedicated the award to his mom sharing in part; “I just want to thank my mom for her relentless effort in my life. I want to thank my mom for all the times you drove me to piano. All the times you drove me to basketball and hockey, that clearly didn’t work out. All the times you drove me to ‘Degrassi…”
