Black Panther makes Oscars history

Black Panther has made history by becoming the first superhero-based film to be nominated in the prestigious best picture category at the 2019 Oscars. In addition, Heather Bleacher became the first black person to earn a best production design nomination for her work on the movie.

Black Panther continues to break barriers after being the highest grossing film of 2018. It received a total of seven nominations including best original song for All the Stars Kendrick Lamar featuring Sza. This will be their first Oscar nominations.

The Oscars will take place on 24 February in Los Angeles.

We can’t wait to watch!
