Black Coffee leads the SAMA 25 nominations

Award-winning producer and DJ Black Coffee is leading the leading the 25th annual South  African Music Awards nominations with a total of 5 nominations. These include Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Best Dance Album of the year for his album Music is King. The star also scored a double nomination for Collaboration of the Year Award for his songs Wish You Were Here featuring Msaki and Drive featuring David Guetta & Delilah Montagu.

Black Coffee is closely followed by Zonke and S’java who earned 4 nominations each. Both stars are in the running for Album of the year, with Zonke scoring Female Artist of the Year, Best Produced Album and Best R&B/Soul Album nods. S’java is up for Male Artist of the year, Best Engineer and Best Afro Pop Album.

Other notable nominations include Nakhane who earned two nominations; Male Artist of the Year and Best Alternative Album. And newcomer, Sho Madjozi who’s nominated for Female Artist of the Year, Best Gqom/Kwaito/Amapiano Album, Best Newcomer and Music Video of the year.
