Celebrate your life

by Ayanda Sithole
Life is difficult but you can have an attitude of gratitude and celebrate your life

There are many reasons to celebrate your life. Despite at times feeling disappointed by expectations that did not come to fruition, growing unpaid debts and the challenges of family relations. This can all be overwhelming but you have so much to celebrate in your life.

1. Be grateful. Everyone has at lease one thing to be grateful for, while many of us have several. However, we are mostly concerned about what we don’t have than acknowledging what we do have. We often take things for granted.

2. Be keen to learn. Have the urge to discover new things every day. Life is full of colours, pictures, fragrances tastes and flavors. There are hidden meanings in every aspect of your life. There are new discoveries waiting for you.

3. Enjoy small things. Celebrate both big and small moments in your life, whether good or bad. Use birthdays and anniversaries to find reasons to celebrate good things and people in your life. There will be twits and turns, and life goes around in cycles.

4. Feel it. Live it.Be it. Giver yourself permission to feel pain, shame and sorrow, regrets and grief, but don’t dwell on them. Life is full of sadness and joy, victories and losses, summits and valleys. Pursue meaningful relationships and avoid bad people.
