Euphonik On Oh Ship 4

by Amanda Ndlangisa

Oh Ship 4 is coming up in November. We speak to one of the founding members of this epic annual party boat.

Euphonik-5-042Please tell us more about Oh Ship 4. How did the first one even come about?

We had a crazy idea of being captains of our own party boat, so we just made it happen. All other DJs were doing yacht parties, which happen for a few hours in one day. We wanted to up the stakes and have our own cruise ship party that lasts 72 hours.

How will Oh Ship 4 be different from the last 3?

You have to be on the ship to see and experience the difference. We switch the entertainment up every year and add special bits to make the overall experience amazing. This year, the party will also be on a bigger ship than the years before.

What can people expect this year?

This year, we’ll be doing the cruise just before the festive season starts; we will be heading to the Portuguese Islands in Mozambique. We switched the entertainment up a bit and have lots of surprises on board.

What are you looking forward to the most this year?

Every year gets crazier and we have SABC1 as our media partner this year, so we are interested to see what dynamic that brings.

Seventy two-hours of non-stop partying – How do you do it?

You have to pace yourself. The nice thing about the ship is that you can literally crawl to your room if you need to and everything is within walking distance.

Do you have any advice for our readers who will be on board?

Come for a mad party and don’t forget these words: Ohhhhhh Shipppppp!!
