World Book Day

by Ntombizethu Zulu

South Africa’s illiteracy problems could be solved easily if every person read at least one book a month. To mark World Book Day, celebrated on 5 March, we’ve compiled a list of our top 10 local and African books that you can read. And what’s great is that they were written by female authors.

A long list of awesome books are available on the market. Whether you can afford to buy a brand new one, or visit your favourite second-hand bookstore, there is no reason you shouldn’t make time to read at least one good novel a month. If you’re feeling stuck about what type of books to buy, use our top 10 list as a guide.
