Maglera Doe Boy confronts young rapper for dissing him

During a street interview, South African Kasi drill rapper Maglera Doe Boy confronted a young rapper whom he claimed had dissed him in one of his songs. However, instead of a rude confrontation, Maglera opted to offer the young man some pearls of wisdom.

Maglera Doe Boy addresses rapper

In the middle of answering a question during the interview, the Klerksdorp-born rapper noticed the young rapper in the crowd and immediately pointed him out.

“This guy is such a great rapper; have you asked him about his music?” he asked the woman interviewing him.

The young lady then informed Maglera that the two of them were actually friends, prompting Maglera to encourage her to call the young rapper forward to be on camera.

“You are a smart young man; I’ve heard your raps. But you were trolling me on the internet. Why?” the rapper asked.

The young man boldly answered the question, referencing an interaction between the two of them:

“Let me tell you why I trolled you. I remember there was a time I was at a show and you were standing next to me, then when I greeted you, you just looked at me then went on stage,” the young man explained.

“I hate the internet for this reason”

Maglera expressed how much he disliked the internet for generating a space for people to be able to hate so easily, especially when it contributes to weird in-person interactions.

“He couldn’t offer me a compliment; instead he had to go there. I hate the internet for that. Because now it’s weird, I can’t even say he’s a great rapper,” he expressed.

After the young rapper explained why he trolled Maglera online, and instead of facilitating a space for hate between the two of them, the 33-year-old rapper decided to enlighten the young man.

He reminded him that sometimes real people have real days and that certain interactions have nothing to do with how one may feel about or perceive you. To end it off, he wished the young man well, saying:

“And you are a good rapper, I bet you if you rapped for two years without dissing anybody, God will give you one of the biggest songs ever.”
