She shared what it was like being married to her ex-husband, Hlulani, and how production and experts on the show treated her.

The alleged pressure around sexual intimacy

The 24-year-old cast member dropped a bombshell in her interview on the Unscripted Network podcast, where she alleged that one of the experts offered to give her something that may stop her period for a while so she could be intimate with Hlulani.

“So I got my period a day after our wedding. I was offered by somebody, if I wanted them to give me something to stop my period so I can have fun with my husband, they could, and I was like, ‘I’m not doing that,'” Nompumelelo claims.

This was coupled with another claim that she made about Pastor X, another expert on the show, who allegedly told her that her husband “needs” sex from her.

“Pastor X said he’s just going to make a list of things that he feels we both need from each other. In his Top 5 for Hlulani, he was like, my husband needs sex from me,” she claimed.

“So much happened”

The couple has had many issues, fights, and arguments throughout the eight-week experiment, which she believes stemmed from the pressure around sexual intimacy. Nompumelelo claims the whole list of secrets and rumours that Hlulani exposed was shared because he was embarrassed they hadn’t slept together.

“Pastor X asked him if he still hadn’t hit. Then he started feeling weird,” she said.

Internet outrage

Nompumelelo’s claims on the podcast left viewers feeling outraged. Many have threatened to report the show to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA), accusing the experts’ alleged treatment of Nompumelelo as a form of sexual coercion.
