The legal development follows Benjamin’s appearance on the podcast, where he broke a three-year silence and made allegations about his business relationship with MySol, including claims that he was sidelined from the N4 Cluster mining tender.
According to Benjamin, the fallout involved payment disputes and disagreements over demands he says were made during their business dealings. He also claimed that a valid contract existed and that Samancor records could support his account.
Benjamin Maponya breaks his silence
During the interview, Benjamin spoke about the breakdown of his relationship with MySol and alleged that he was excluded from the N4 Cluster mining tender at Buffels West.
Benjamin further alleged that he faced unusual demands, including being asked to leave his wife or delete his Facebook account. These claims have not been independently established and should be understood as allegations made by Benjamin.
He maintained that documentation, including records linked to Samancor, could support his position regarding the agreement.
The dispute has brought renewed attention to the business relationship between the two men and the circumstances surrounding the mining tender.
MySol obtains court interdict
On 8 October 2026, MySol reportedly secured a Gauteng High Court interdict preventing the episode from being broadcast and restricting related claims concerning alleged criminal involvement.
The court action came as the allegations threatened to bring the long-running dispute into the public domain through the popular podcast.
A further hearing has been scheduled for 22 October 2026, when the legal issues are expected to receive additional attention.
The interdict represents a significant development in the dispute, although it should not be interpreted as a final determination of the underlying business allegations.

Legal battle puts podcast episode in the spotlight
The dispute has placed Podcast and Chill at the centre of a legal battle involving allegations about business dealings, contractual obligations and the N4 Cluster mining tender.
Benjamin has maintained that he has documentation to support his claims, while MySol has pursued legal action to prevent the episode and related allegations from being made public.
The outcome of the proceedings could determine how the dispute proceeds and whether the allegations discussed during the interview can be broadcast.
As the parties prepare for the next court date, the key questions surrounding their business relationship and the mining tender remain unresolved.
