‘More questions than answers’: Thami Ndlala Foundation responds to Blue Mbombo’s allegations

The Thami Ndlala Foundation has responded to serious allegations made by model and media personality Blue Mbombo, saying aspects of her account require further scrutiny.

Blue released a statement on 2 October 2026, alleging that businessman Thami subjected her to death threats, verbal abuse and emotional torment over several months. She also alleged that people had been hired to intimidate her and that Thami threatened the life of her child, reported The Citizen.

Blue said she had opened a case with the South African Police Service and had obtained an interim protection order. She said she initially hoped to deal with the matter privately but decided to speak publicly after becoming concerned for her safety and that of her loved ones.

The allegations have not been proven in court, and Thami has denied them.

Thami Ndlala denies allegations

Thami responded through the Thami Ndlala Foundation on Saturday, 3 October 2026.

The Foundation said Thami “categorically denies” the allegations and would continue to address them through the appropriate legal processes.

It also questioned aspects of Blue’s account, arguing that the public should have access to what it described as the “full context” of the dispute.

Foundation questions supporting evidence

One of the Foundation’s main concerns relates to Blue’s protection-order application.

According to the organisation, the application refers to supporting material and annexures concerning the incidents described by Blue. However, the Foundation claimed that some of the material allegedly referred to was not contained in the documentation currently before Thami.

“These are extraordinarily serious allegations. If there is evidence supporting them, that evidence should be produced and tested through the proper legal process,” the Foundation said.

The Foundation also disputed aspects of Blue’s description of the police matter, saying that the existence of a case number does not amount to a finding of guilt or establish that the allegations are true.

Thami Ndlala rejects alleged threat against Blue Mbombo’s child

The Foundation strongly rejected any suggestion that Thami threatened Blue’s child.

It said Thami, who is a father of two young daughters, “emphatically rejects any suggestion that he would threaten the life of a child.”

Blue, however, has maintained that the alleged threat involving her child was a significant factor in her decision to seek legal protection.

R1 million defamation claim

The dispute has also escalated into potential further legal action.

According to reporting by Briefly News, Thami is seeking R1 million in a defamation claim against Blue.

Meanwhile, Thami has approached the Gauteng High Court seeking an interdict relating to the publication or republication of the allegations as fact.

An order dated 3 October directed the removal of the disputed statements from Blue’s social media accounts, including Instagram and TikTok, within 24 hours of service. Blue has been called upon to show by 9 November 2026 why the relief sought should not be made final.

Legal process continues

The dispute has now moved beyond social media statements, with the legal proceedings continuing in court.

Blue has maintained that she went public to protect herself and her loved ones and to allow the appropriate legal processes to take their course. Thami, meanwhile, continues to deny the allegations and says they should be tested through the proper legal channels.
