The official statement follows growing online scrutiny and public commentary after leaked screenshots and voice notes surfaced, leading some social media users to question her account.
Refusing public debate and involving SAPS
Addressing the controversy directly, Zaca emphasised that her choice regarding the timing and manner of sharing her personal story does not diminish the validity of her experiences. She made it clear that she will no longer participate in public commentary or social media disputes regarding the matter.
“My decision about when and how to disclose personal information does not establish that those experiences were invented,” Zaca shared in a statement. “I have reported the matter to SAPS and instructed my attorney to take further appropriate steps. The material I have supplied is being reviewed.”
She further noted that her silence should not be misconstrued as agreement or a waiver of her legal rights, adding that formal evidence will be addressed strictly through legal channels.

Legal warnings and social media hiatus
In a direct warning to online commentators, bloggers, and social media users circulating unverified claims, Zaca cautioned that reposting or amplifying false statements carries legal liability.
“A repost, caption or video does not become harmless simply because someone else said it first,” she noted, confirming her intent to pursue legal action where evidence supports it.
Acknowledging the heavy emotional toll of the ongoing public fallout, Zaca announced a step back from online platforms. Outside of existing brand partnerships and giveaway commitments, she will limit her phone and online activity while legal proceedings unfold.
