Radio presenter Thembeka Zondo-Cele on juggling 2 passions

by Thekgo Raseala

Ukhozi FM radio presenter Thembeka Zondo-Cele is juggling two dreams at once. The radio presenter, known for her skills in producing religious shows, is also the owner of a poultry farm.

The KwaMashu-born presenter, who currently hosts the Siz’pholele radio segment on Fridays, joined the Ukhozi FM team in 2011 after she won the Vodacom M-PESA top stars presenter search.

The poultry farm journey

The 39-year-old has proven that she has more than one passion. She has opened her own poultry farm, Ngangolwandle Poultry, based in the Madakane area in KwaZulu-Natal.

Daily Sun reported that Thembeka stated that farming is one sector that fights against poverty. Starting her farming journey earlier this year, she shared that the journey has been so great she can’t seem to compare her love for radio presenting and farming.

She explained that she doesn’t think she would leave one to focus on the other.

Thembeka Zondo-Cele’s love for food

As a co-owner of a catering company, Zondo Kitchen and Catering, she finds herself also juggling motherhood, radio presenting, farming, and catering.

Admitting that the workload isn’t easy, assurance that her children’s future is secured makes it worth it, along with being an example to other women that they too can have it all. Thembeka feels secure in her choices, knowing that should life throw her curveballs, she has many other avenues to lean on.

On top of all of that, Thembeka also believes in giving back. She is part of community projects such as donating sanitary towels to school girls.
