The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has finally confirmed the dates, venues and kick-off times for the 2026 MTN8 semi-finals, setting the stage for two highly anticipated two-legged clashes later this month.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates will face Sekhukhune United, while Mamelodi Sundowns have been drawn against Golden Arrows in the last four. The four teams booked their semi-final places after an action-packed quarter-final weekend.
The PSL confirmed the full semi-final schedule yesterday evening, ending the wait for supporters eager to know where and when the decisive matches would take place.
Pirates face Sekhukhune
The first semi-final will see Orlando Pirates travel to Polokwane to face Sekhukhune United in the opening leg.

- Where: Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane
Orlando Pirates remained in the competition after a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Durban City in their quarter-final at Orlando Stadium. Sekhukhune produced one of the weekend’s biggest thrillers, defeating AmaZulu 4-3 after extra time at Chatsworth Stadium.
The second leg will be played in Soweto, giving Pirates home advantage in the second meeting.

Mamelodi Sundowns face Golden Arrows
The other semi-final pits African champions Mamelodi Sundowns against a Golden Arrows side that stunned Kaizer Chiefs in the quarterfinals.
- When: Sunday, 23 August 2026, 3pm
- Where: Lucas Moripe Stadium, Atteridgeville
Sundowns booked their place in the semi-finals with a 3-2 extra-time win over Polokwane City. Cassius Mailula scored the decisive goal as the Brazilians survived a difficult quarter-final encounter.
Golden Arrows produced a major upset by beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium. The second leg of the match will take place in KZN.

- Where: Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, Durban
The PSL’s confirmation means supporters can now plan for what promises to be two weekends of high-stakes knockout football.
The 2026/27 MTN8 final is scheduled for 10 October 2026, with the semi-final winners set to battle for the first major domestic cup of the season.
