Emtee explains departure from old management
In a statement shared on his Instagram Story on 1 July 2026, Emtee revealed that he believed his career deserved a team focused on growth, transparency, and moving in the right direction. While the rapper didn’t mention who had represented him in the past, a source told BONA that there are claims his ex-wife, Nicole Chinsamy, acted as management.
A portion of the statement claimed, “Unfortunately, there have been payments made for gigs and appearances to my former management that have not been handled in a way that reflects my values or protects my brand.
“That has created unnecessary confusion and put my reputation at risk, and I can no longer allow that to continue.”

Happy with new management
Emtee added that he had been working with his new management team, including Hlubi Radebe, since 9 June 2026, noting that they genuinely had his best interests, brand, music, and his supporters at heart.
“We’re focused on building something bigger and better.”
He cautioned that any bookings, business discussions, or agreements made through anyone but his current representation would not be recognised or entertained, stating:
“I’ve worked too hard to build my name, and I’m done with people using it for their own personal gain. From this point forward, everything goes through my official management.”
