Recognising the challenges many young students face in accessing basic school necessities, Makhadzi’s gesture goes beyond mere charity. It sends a powerful message about the importance of supporting education and empowering youth. The donated shoes and uniforms not only provide comfort and dignity to the learners but also help remove barriers that might hinder their academic participation and success.

The singer shared that helping underprivileged children has long been one of her dreams and that she could think of no better way to celebrate her birthday month than by making a difference in the lives of young people.

Makhadzi has described the initiative as the best gift she could give herself as she enters a new decade of her life.

In reflecting on this milestone, Makhadzi’s choice emphasises that true celebration lies in the joy of helping others and making a tangible difference. Her contribution is likely to encourage others to consider how they, too, can support education and community development in meaningful ways.
