‘Inimba’ fans debate the storyline after Zwelinzima Ngcukana’s gaze at Zoleka

by Zintle Mdaka

Mzansi Magic telenovela Inimba left some viewers surprised and others confused, ensuing a heated debate on social media platforms.

The telenovela is known for keeping viewers glued to their screens, and unpacking the storyline on various social media platforms. This time was no different, after viewers noticed how Zwelinzima Ngcukana (played by Luzuko Nkqetho), looked at his daughter-in-law Zoleka Bikitsha-Ngcukana (played by Lunathi Mampofu) after a successful business announcement.

Zwelinzima, in the storyline, is known to be a grumpy and strict old man, but he has shown a soft spot for Zoleka even before she and his son Lazarus Ngcukana (played by Loyiso Macdonald) tied the knot.

The look he gave to Zoleka after he compared her to his late wife left some viewers anxious, citing that the old man might be interested in his daughter-in-law romantically.
Some said it could probably be because he is admiring her hard work and the love they share with Lazarus.

An X (formerly) Twitter user took to their page to share the video clip.

The last scene is making me anxious 🥺🥺😢Why is Grumpy looking at Zoleka like that…even comparing her to her late wife….He better not be up to something #InimbaMzansi pic.twitter.com/mqD0VTXS7k

Grumpy’s face screamed admiration yet fear of the secret that’s looming in the background and how it can easily take away la joy that Laz has at the moment… #InimbaMzansi
